Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's rooms were below our expectations for the price, lacking an electric connection in the bathroom and in need of a facelift. Despite these shortcomings, the room did offer almost all facilities, and being situated on the 5th floor with elevator access only up to the 4th floor posed an inconvenience.
The hotel is well-located, close to major sights and transportation. Rooms are spacious but outdated and can be chilly due to old heating systems. Service is friendly and helpful, although occasional arguments between staff were witnessed. Dining options are varied outside the hotel. Value for money could be improved.
My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms were nicely furnished with a comfortable bed catered to the traveler's needs and had amenities like an iron, ironing board, and a mini-bar if required. However, the pillow had a bad smell, indicating a need for a refresh in maintenance. Despite this, the good-sized bathroom with the luxury of bathrobe and slippers was a nice touch. Check-out time was at 12 noon sharp.
The hotel offers a really great possibility for parents with children or when not wanting a conventional room setup. The room I stayed in was first class, with a most comfortable bed. Despite missing an electrical connection in the bathroom, the room had almost all the facilities you could need.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms were really spacious and well-equipped with nice touches like fruit, courtesy cake, and beverages, being assigned to a noisy basement location on the fourth floor with poor air quality was a downside. The service, although mostly polite and helpful, had a notable exception with one staff member screaming at us. The location near Oxford Street and Marble Arch was ideal for exploring the city, but the dining options within the hotel were limited and had to be paid for separately. Overall, a stay with highs and lows.
The hotel is conveniently located near Marble Arch, providing easy access to transit and attractions like Oxford Street and Hyde Park. The rooms, although a bit worn, possess a charming character despite some noise issues that prompted a room change. The service from the Eastern European staff was attentive, although interactions with certain guests seemed strained due to perceived condescension. The dining options, available at an extra cost, were deemed overpriced with some items missing. The hotel's facilities are satisfactory, with a notable proximity to the tube station.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. While the room was not ready until 2.00 pm and didn't quite match the price charged, being located in a separate building, notably an 'attic' room, was a unique experience. The service, on the other hand, was amazing with very friendly and polite staff always willing to assist. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from key attractions in London. However, on the downside, the concierge assistance was lacking friendliness and efficiency. The dining experience had its ups and downs with some missing items, but the overall tasty dishes offered some value. The facilities added to the comfort of the stay.
I had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were magnificent: clean, spacious, and equipped with A/C, plus the option to open the window for fresh air if desired. However, being on the 5th floor meant the elevator only went up to the 4th floor, which was a bit inconvenient.
